And there you have it. Lessons in Sexuality 101 by Karl Lagerfeld, but if I were him I'd stick to my day job. I suppose the world that Karl lives in is light ages away from the world the rest of us live in, because I don't think I've ever heard anyone say that it's easy to live as a lesbian. Oh Karl.

it's never easy being gay.well not in America anyways,maybe Europe.just to put it out there, do you think freja's sexuality has been hinted at a lot this season compared to previous seasons.
^Perhaps. It's hard to say. Maybe we're just noticing it more because she's working a lot more and we're extra sensitive to it.
i do not like how karl seems to be exploiting the models...crazy old man.he definitely reads the rumours on freja,cos he could've used any other model he wanted but he uses freja,its a double edged sword when it comes to being gay,and i really hate it when its just for show.the season ends and so wil this particular fascination he has with lesbians.
I agree with you on some points, but I don't think he just used Freja because of the rumors surrounding her. He's been using her for everything lately, so of course he was going to use her in the show.
And we don't know how honest his comments on lesbians were. He could have just said the first thing that came to his head. But if he does have a fascination, it's obviously been long-lasting because he's been working with Freja for a very long time now, not that her sexuality has ever been confirmed but we all assume. And you can even go so far as to say that a lot of Karl's model muses have those types of rumors surrounding them.
I don't like exploitation either, but I wouldn't be too quick to judge yet.
I think Karl is a fashion genius. He is astute to know what will gain mass coverage for his shows, to sells his clothes. I'm in the UK and two factors has made this Chanel 2010 show a news story in all major tabloids today- Lily Allen performing and 2 female and 1 male model frolicking in hay. Publications that would never cover this type of story have given KL show major coverage. There lies what Karl is adept at- Exploitation. Exploiting what is deemed cool and hip. Exploitation of sexuality and implied sexual ambiguity. I don't necessarily believe there is anything untoward in his dealings with Freja. She just helps in fulfulling his vision. I would like to think he has genuine affection for her. How could he not? :)
I might be wrong, but honestly I´m pretty sure he says "It´s very easy for people to live WITH lesbians." Makes much more sense in the context, too.
