The news comes via WWD:
"Director Johan Renck, who has just wrapped filming the latest Valentino perfume ad campaign, starring Freja Beha Erichsen, said he’s eager to work with Swedish actress Noomi Rapace, of “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo” fame."Two print campaigns and now a perfume campaign!? Chiuri and Piccioli sure do love her. Anyway, no other details to report as of now. But congrats to Freja for the get. These contracts are what most models dream of and work towards. And thank you to the anonymous commenter for the tip. This blog could most certainly not run without it's lovely and perceptive readers. :)

Behind the scenes at Chanel. As we all know, Freja did not lead the final walk at the show but at the rehearsal video, she did! I doubt it was a last minute change. I wonder if Ginta and Hanne walked past by her....ughhh!!!
Great news! I've always admired the work Freja does over at Valentino and I hope she books many more ad campaigns in the days and weeks to come. Also reading Freja's name mentioned in the same sentence as Noomi Rapace is just too cool for school. I loved Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and am hoping that the Fincher remake is as good as the original. How cool would it have been if he had casted Freja to play Lisbeth Salander instad of Rooney Mara... One can only dream.
wow great news!!
here's quick look at the Chanel Catalog "A SUMMER DAY IN THE SOUTH". The complete Chanel campaign for SS11:

"These contracts are what most models dream of and work towards." So, in modelling industry, beauty or perfume contracts/campaigns are the one that gives more money than print campaigns? i'm just curious to know.:))
Thanks for the video links everyone!
And to the anonymous above, yes beauty and perfume contracts are usually worth more than print campaigns since they run for more than one season. You'll see the ads over and over again, even years after they were first shot. And there's usually, but not always, a tv component. :)
omg ,i'm proud of freja.well done freja .now i hope you can get the chanel and Valentine FW11 ad campaigns.what'about YSL?i hope she can get it.and the cover of vouge USA in the may,i hope she can shoot in with other models

i don't konw why anybody don't want freja appear in chanel and Valentino's ad.and why they hate her,she is a lovely girl,why@!!!!
Anonymous1:
Karl must be finding her at the end of the show!!!And I Freja was staring at him too!
this season must be for her because it is all black that was Freja style!(that's just my thoughts...haha)
we hardly see freja in us vogue's pages(she's edgy and cool and vogue is the polar opposite)so i was a bit surprised she's one of the few models featured by name in their site in a recap of the fashion month. with her recent editorial in the mag plus this, maybe it's a sign of things to come? but maybe i'm just getting ahead coz i'm too much of a fan.

obviously a lot of US vogue staff knows who she is. they might like her too. but the most important part is for anna, grace and the top editors at vogue to nod their heads.
i saw an anonymous reader posted a pic of ATL from US vogue chatting with freja outside of carolina herrera show last season. it was posted on this blog's comments section. apparently the poster said they chatted for a while.
you mean ALT
This ist from a interview with karl in a german magazine. I try to translate.
Q: Who she is today, the modern woman, your muse?
Karl:
When they speak of an image, it's Freja. The girl has a modern attitude. Not least because it is a lesbian. Freja is not a playgirl, more like a strapping boy. I like to compare with Asta Nielsen, Danish actress of the silent film era. Freja is sexy, but subtle, and can not be set on a roll. She has magic, she can even make the most normal girl unhappy ...
Stop posting the fake interview. It was verified that the interview is not real.
