Apparently, photographs won't be released until January. And only one photographer, Terry Richardson, was allowed to take pictures during the event (I'll hold my tongue here). Tom Ford himself introduced each model and the piece she was wearing. All who participated were women who "inspired him." To give you an idea of how big this event was, Beyonce decided to forgo the VMA's in order to model for Ford. Can you say, whoa.
What a special event for Freja to be a part of. And maybe not that surprising considering she is the current face of Tom Ford Eyewear. Ford is most definitely known for his glamorous femininity, so it makes me happy to know that Freja isn't considered to be too masculine/edgy/tomboyish/androgynous/insert whatever other adjective that's commonly used to describer her here. I always thought that if Ford had still been designing when Freja first started modeling, she would have been perfect for the image he was projecting and he would have definitely used her. But maybe that's just me.
Anyway, New York is going incredibly well for Freja. She's averaging only one show per day, but she's making that show count. It will be interesting to see what the rest of the week and the rest of the cities bring. If things continue on...I think Freja will be on pace to match or even break her tally of openings and closings from last season.

i heard James Scully is the casting director for the show. He's also a fan of Freja.
I'm happy for Freja at Tom Ford's relaunch. This season also seems to make a difference to me. Freja opened and was allotted to close (though she didnt) Ports collection this season which is so feminine, a little ODLR and Chloe. Outfits chosen for her at Derek Lam were girly and pristine (the white dress).
I think people are seeing more of her feminine side ^__^
Hey, does anyone know what Tom have to say about Freja? I saw on some other boards that Tom introduced each model...

Why is the fashion industry so in love with Terry Richardson?! I guess this business is mostly who you know/are than actual talent.

I had initially credited Freja's presence in the Tom Ford eyewear campaign to Terry and his recent fascination with her. But it seems Freja has caught Tom's eyes more so than Terry's (or at least I hope so) . I agree with you regarding Freja fitting in seamlessly with Tom's aesthetic when womenswear was his thing. And hopefully he will continue to collaborate with her as he forays back into womenswear. TBQH, I wasn't expecting her presence there at all. I was looking forward to images from Y-3 but this was a great surprise. She is definitely having a great fashion week in terms of quality of work if not quantity.
im sure freja has caught tom's eyes. do you also think maybe karl also introduced freja to tom? ive seen karl hang out with tom on occassions and hes a fan of toms menswear. he even used toms favorite male model jon k in one of his campaigns. maybe karl and tom are just swapping models...lol

@ kunklebunkle: I was expecting her to be there, but was trying not to get my hopes up. She can be such a glamazon when given the chance. But people never want to give her that chance. So needless to say, I'm thrilled she was there and I too hope they continue to collaborate because that would be amazing.
