Tattoo Update

I've been wanting to update and add to this old tattoo post I did a few months ago. Since then, Freja's received some more ink, and I've come across better pictures of her existing tattoos. I'll probably have to do another one of these posts in a few months time, as tattoos have a tendency to pop up unexpectedly on Freja. But that's part of the reason I love her as a model. She's not afraid to assert her individuality in an industry that would rather have her as a blank slate.

1. "Float" located on the left side of her neck

2. Upside down Triangle on the back of her neck (outlined first, filled in later)

3. Circle done with dashed-lines behind her right ear

4. Cross on her right earlobe

5. "Serendipity is Life" on the back of her upper right arm

6. Colt Revolver on the inside of her upper left arm

7. "This Too Shall Pass" on the inside of her upper right arm

8. "This World Tonight is Mine" on her right wrist

9. "Redemption" on her upper left forearm

10. Three circles on her left wrist (outlined first, filled in later)

11. Star on her upper left torso (outlined first, filled in later)

12. "M" on her upper right torso

13. Lightening Bolt on her upper right torso (to cover up the "M")

14. Lines on her left middle finger

15. Graphic design on her lower stomach (no picture available)

If you're keeping track, Freja currently has 14 tattoos (that we know of) and she's been inked 18 times. Perhaps these numbers will be going up come September? Keep those eyes peeled.

  2. just a little correction, #5 is Serendipity is me not life

  3. Actually, it is "life" and not "me." I initially thought it was me as well, but in some interview it's written out as life. If you look closely you can see it. Makes more sense that way as well.

  4. I think its "Life" as well. I also confused it for "Me" before. Also, I love how her tattoos are not so "in your face". I, personally, don't care for them. But I like how she made sure they were discreet.

  6. no, it is actually 'serendipity is me' notice how every first word is capitalized, and a larger font. 'Serendipity Is Me'
there is a very clear photo I saw of it once, up close, I'll try and find it.

  7. Like I said before, I thought it was "Me" as well until I read some interview or article. I can't remember what it was now, but I'm going to go on the printed word instead of what I think it is until I get confirmation from Freja herself. :) I'm assuming that whatever magazine printed it had their facts checked first. I'll try and find the source.

  13. I don't see why you think it's good that they have to be discreet. Why hide them? Ink is beautiful. I have plenty already and planning out a full back piece and full sleeve.
    No reason to be ashamed...

  14. I think you have to do an update of this post haha
On one of the photos of her latest Cyber Tribe editorial for Vogue UK, March 2010 you can see something written on her left hand ring finger. I would love to know what it is...

  18. What's the font of " This world tonight is mine"???

  19. It is "Serendipity is Me". I know Freja, and this is what it says.

  20. do you know what the name of the font that she uses for her tattoos?

    ReplyDelete
  21. @ anonymous above -

i think she uses her own handwriting or the tattoo artist's handwriting - it doesnt appear to be a font because repeat letters (such as e's) change slightly even in the same word.

my tattoo that i have on my neck is my own handwriting, its not that uncommon.

  22. From her Purple Fashion ed, doesn't she have a flame motif tattoo'd on her mons?

  23. i think the interview you were talking about is the one in either ELLE or VOGUE where shes on the front cover. thats the article that made her one of my loves, right next to coco sumner.

  24. I thought that her tattoo said "Serendipity to me" (which also makes more sense than "Serendipity is life"). I love your blog! And Freja too of course n_n

  25. Who did her tatts? Anyone know?

    ReplyDelete
  26. it is serendipity is me.

each word starts with a capital letter.. so if it was 'life' it would have had a capital l and not a lower case one.

  27. Both "float" and "redemption" tattoos are in script font called Windsong

  28. It's definitely "Serendipity Is Me". Just because a magazine article got it wrong and said it reads "Serendipity Is Life" doesn't mean their word is fact. They were mistaken.

  29. Hi, can someone please tell me what colour did Freja Beha used to filled up the tattoo on her three vertical circles on her left wrist. Thank you!

  30. Hi, does anyone know which font she used for "Redemption" and "This too shall pass"?

    Thanks a lot.
